Since they are “very difficult to recycle and hazardous if not placed in the correct waste stream,” single-use vapes have been added to the event's list of forbidden goods.

Tens of thousands of people are anticipated to attend the three-day event in Stradbally, Co. Laois, which runs from September 1-3.

There are dozens of headliners on the lineup list, including Billie Eilish, Fred again, The Killers, Paulo Nutini, The Script, and Niall Horan.

The stage area and campground will accept refilling vapes but not disposable ones, according to the event organisers.

They encouraged guests not to bring single-use vapes and warned that they may be seized at the gates on X, formerly known as Twitter, because they are constructed of a variety of components, disposable vapes are toxic if not disposed of properly and difficult to recycle.

To safeguard the land that the festival venue is on, Electric Picnic has decided to add single-use disposable vapes to the list of forbidden products. Disposable barbecues, glass containers larger than 100ml, megaphones, and spray cans are among the additional items that are prohibited from the stage and campground areas.

The event, which had been postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19 limitations, saw over 70,000 attendees the following year.
